Ferrosilicon Cos. Can't Quash EU Dumping Duties

Law360, New York (October 25, 2011, 7:00 PM EDT) -- A European Union court on Tuesday refused to nix anti-dumping duties on ferrosilicon imported from Kazakhstan and Russia despite claims from several exporters that there was no real causal link between the imports and the alleged injury to EU producers.

The EU's General Court rejected a pair of appeals raising a host of complaints over the dumping measures the Council of the European Union imposed in February 2008 on imports of ferrosilicon, which is used to make steel and iron.
