House Panel Passes Bill To Stem NLRB Union Election Regs

Law360, New York (October 26, 2011, 11:21 PM EDT) -- The House Committee on Education and the Workforce on Wednesday approved legislation that would stop the National Labor Relations Board from implementing proposed changes to the rules governing union elections.

The committee voted to send the Republican-backed H.R. 3094, the Workforce Democracy and Fairness Act, to the House floor, despite protests from committee Democrats whose proposed amendments to the bill were shot down.
