Kaplan Wins TRO Against Ex-Directors In Trade Secrets Row

Law360, New York (October 27, 2011, 6:51 PM EDT) -- Kaplan Inc. on Thursday won temporary restraining orders in a Florida suit against two ex-Kaplan University directors accused of violating contracts, along with computer fraud and trade secret laws, by stealing information about more than 750,000 prospective students.

U.S. District Judge William Hoeveler also signed off on an emergency order allowing the U.S. Marshals Service to use force if necessary to enforce the temporary restraining order against defendant Jonathan David, the ex-director of quality and accreditation for Kaplan University's business and information technology school.
