Globus Says Sales Rep Was Double Agent For Rival

Law360, New York (October 31, 2011, 1:44 PM EDT) -- Globus Medical Inc. hit rival spinal implant maker Innovasis Inc. and an ex-Globus sales representative with a trade secrets and unfair competition suit Thursday in Kansas, painting the worker as a double agent who solicited customers for Innovasis while on Globus' payroll.

Audubon, Pa.-based Globus' complaint claims that before spine sales representative Tim Lazenby stepped down Sept. 23, he was already an employee or independent contractor of Globus' direct competitor Innovasis and was steering business away from the plaintiff.
