Enviros, States Allow EPA More Time To Craft GHG Regs

Law360, New York (October 31, 2011, 7:32 PM EDT) -- Several states and environmental groups have agreed to allow the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency extra time to propose greenhouse gas regulations for power plants, saying they'd wait until Nov. 30 before taking legal action against the agency, according to a letter Friday.

In a letter sent to the U.S. Department of Justice, the groups, led by the state of New York, said they were willing to extend the Oct. 28 deadline “in light of progress made to date.”
