ConocoPhillips, Williams Settle EPA's Pollution Claims

Law360, New York (November 3, 2011, 2:21 PM EDT) -- Two gas production companies, ConocoPhillips Co. and a Williams Cos. Inc. subsidiary, have agreed to pay fines and step up their leak prevention efforts at plants on the Southern Ute Reservation in Colorado, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced Wednesday.

Both companies signed settlements with the EPA to settle claims that they violated the Clean Air Act.
