China Raises Stink Over U.S. Fish Ban

Law360, New York (June 29, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Chinese officials on Friday protested the enactment of a U.S. Food and Drug Administration ban on exports of five types of farm-raised fish, calling the ban unfair and insisting that most of the products China sells to America are safe.

The Chinese Ministry of Commerce urged the country's trade partners not to enact a country-specific ban and accept the products if they did not violate contract terms or local regulations.
