European Buyer Nears Deal To Acquire Full Tilt Poker

Law360, New York (November 4, 2011, 5:13 PM EDT) -- Full Tilt Poker is nearing a deal with the U.S. Department of Justice that will allow the shuttered online gambling site to be sold to European investors, attorneys said Friday.

The investment group Groupe Bernard Tapie, founded by a French race car driver turned businessman, has working out the final details on a deal that will let the group buy the once-thriving Ireland-based gambling site and operate it in Europe, said Behnam Dayanim of Axinn Veltrop Harkrider LLP, a lawyer for the group.
