Citing Bilski, Fed. Circ. Reopens 3D Graphics IP Suit

Law360, New York (November 4, 2011, 5:33 PM EDT) -- The Federal Circuit said Friday that the U.S. Supreme Court's Bilski decision changed the patentability standard as it applies to two computer graphics patents held by FuzzySharp Technologies Inc., ruling the company's infringement case against 3DLabs Inc. Ltd. must be reconsidered.

The appeals court vacated a 2009 district court ruling that tossed FuzzySharp's infringement suit, saying the ramifications of the Supreme Court's decision in Bilski required the California federal court to again take up the case.
