USTR To Press China On IP Protections At Summit

Law360, New York (November 4, 2011, 6:33 PM EDT) -- U.S. officials plan to push China to improve intellectual property rights protections and reform its investment policies at an upcoming summit, U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk said Friday.

Kirk described the meeting — the latest session of the U.S.-China Joint Commission on Commerce and Trade set for Nov. 20 to 21 in Chengdu, China — as a "key venue" for supporting U.S. trade interests with China, and vowed to pursue a number of long-standing concerns with the Chinese leadership.
