Olympus Sued Over Digital Camera Patents

Law360 (July 2, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A German licensing company has filed suit against Olympus Corp. and its American subsidiary, Olympus Imaging America Inc., claiming that the Japanese electronics company’s digital cameras infringe its patents.

In a complaint filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, Papst Licensing GmbH & Co. KG alleged that digital cameras sold by Olympus in the U.S. infringe U.S. Patent Numbers 6,470,399 B1 and 6,895,449 B2.
