Law360, New York (November 16, 2011, 12:58 PM EST) -- Several recent developments evident at U.S. Customs and Border Protection are signaling a new, more reasonable application of Customs laws and regulations in the area of valuation that are more reflective of commercial realities in a global economic environment. In September, CBP requested public comment on a proposed revocation of a headquarters ruling letter relating to the applicability of transaction value and post-importation adjustments to prices.
