SK Group Offices Raided In Embezzlement Probe

Law360, New York (November 8, 2011, 2:31 PM EST) -- South Korean conglomerate SK Group and its subsidiary SK Gas Co., the country's largest liquefied petroleum gas provider, were reportedly raided Tuesday by prosecutors investigating claims that the family that runs the company has embezzled billions of won of company money.

The Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office searched the offices of the SK Group holding company and SK Gas, and confiscated accounting documents and transaction receipts, the Yonhap News Agency reported. SK Group owns a variety of energy, telecommunications and marketing companies.
