Obama To Veto Any Gutting Of Net Neutrality Rules

Law360, New York (November 8, 2011, 5:09 PM EST) -- President Barack Obama on Tuesday vowed to veto a pending U.S. Senate resolution that would negate the Federal Communications Commission's new net neutrality rules that are meant to bar broadband providers from limiting access to competitors' online services.

Senate Republicans led by Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, R-Texas, are hoping to vote this week on a disapproval resolution which, under the Congressional Review Act, would stop the rules from going into effect this month as scheduled.
