Ex-Pa. Lawmaker Convicted In Public Funds Scandal

Law360, New York (November 8, 2011, 8:23 PM EST) -- A former Pennsylvania state representative on Tuesday was convicted for his role in a scheme that saw millions of dollars in taxpayer money unlawfully spent on political campaign work, the Associated Press reported.

Brett Feese, who formerly served as chairman of the state’s House Republican Campaign Committee, was found guilty on charges that he directed legislative employees and out-of-state consultants to work on voter information databases and other tools intended to strengthen his party’s position in the state legislature, the AP said.
