ConAgra Execs Settle With SEC

Law360, New York (July 2, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Six former ConAgra Foods Inc. have reached a settlement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission over accounting and tax fraud allegations, agreeing to pay more than $1.7 million total in civil penalties.

The SEC said Friday that the suits were brought after alleged improper accounting practices, inaccurate disclosures and income taxes for fiscal years 1999 to 2005 resulted in the Omaha-based company misstating its financial performance in filings with the SEC.
