Riedell Laces Up Deal With Adidas In Skate Trademark Row

Law360, San Diego (November 9, 2011, 6:07 PM EST) -- Riedell Shoes Inc. on Tuesday resolved a declaratory judgment action in a Minnesota federal court asserting that its striped design element on roller skates did not infringe Adidas AG’s trademark.

U.S. District Judge Michael Davis signed off on a joint stipulation to dismiss the claims with prejudice after the parties reached a settlement. Riedell and Adidas agreed to cover their own attorneys’ fees and costs.

Attorneys representing the companies were not immediately available for comment Wednesday.
