McDermott Sues DOJ For Hospital Docs In Antitrust Probe

Law360, New York (November 10, 2011, 2:27 PM EST) -- McDermott Will & Emery LLP sued the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington federal court on Wednesday, seeking to force the agency to turn over records in connection with an antitrust investigation over a proposed merger between two Illinois hospital systems.

McDermott, which represents Rockford, Ill.-based Rockford Health System in its proposed affiliation with Peoria, Ill.-based OSF Healthcare System, claims the DOJ has failed to comply with the firm's Freedom of Information Act request for records concerning OSF's proposed acquisition of SwedishAmerican Health System in 1997....
