Rollback Of Liquor Ban Gives NJ Mall New Leases On Life

Law360, New York (November 15, 2011, 3:19 PM EST) -- Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust has begun the process of adding four high-end restaurants to its Moorestown Mall in southern New Jersey on the heels of the township's agreement to overturn a century-old ban on the sale of alcohol, the REIT said Tuesday.

PREIT spent months campaigning to convince voters to repeal the ban, which they did in a Nov. 8 referendum. The township will now allow alcohol sales exclusively at restaurants operated at Moorestown Mall, according to PREIT.
