Honeywell Lands Win In Aircraft Patent Case

Law360 (July 5, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Marking a victory for aerospace and automotive giant Honeywell International Inc., the Federal Circuit has found that a smaller rival infringed Honeywell’s patent covering a final-approach flight warning system.

In Tuesday’s 2-1 ruling, the Federal Circuit held that a lower court correctly interpreted disputed terms of the patent and that the jury was right in finding that Universal Avionics Systems Corp. infringed Honeywell’s technology.
