Associates Making Partner Quicker Than Before: Survey

Law360, New York (November 17, 2011, 7:25 PM EST) -- The time it takes for law firm associates to become partners has dropped by about a year since 2003, a survey released Thursday by legal recruiter Robert Half Legal shows.

The survey found that attorneys worked an average of seven years before reaching partner status, a drop from the eight years reported in the recruitment agency’s 2003 survey.
