No Stay In FEMA, WildEarth Flood Insurance Suit: Judge

Law360, New York (November 18, 2011, 6:31 PM EST) -- An Arizona federal judge on Friday refused to stay WildEarth Guardians’ suit against the Federal Emergency Management Agency over its National Flood Insurance Program while the parties negotiate a settlement.

U.S. District Judge Neil V. Wake denied WildEarth’s bid to stay the proceedings for 60 days, saying the parties had already received several extensions, and ruled that the suit will proceed to be decided on its merits within the timeline of the requested stay.
