7th Circ. Nixes Remand Appeal In LCD Antitrust Suit

Law360, New York (November 18, 2011, 7:09 PM EST) -- The Seventh Circuit ruled Friday that a federal judge was right when he determined that the Illinois attorney general's antitrust suit against LG Display Co. Ltd. and other liquid crystal display makers did not constitute a class action and remanded it to state court.

A three-judge panel denied the LCD companies' petition for leave to appeal the remand order. The case was initially filed in state court before being removed by the companies under the Class Action Fairness Act.
