Cevian Capital Takes $85M Stake In Battered Danske Bank

Law360, New York (November 22, 2011, 1:27 PM EST) -- Swedish activist investment firm Cevian Capital has taken a 5.02 percent, $85 million stake in Danske Bank A/S, the Copenhagen-based financial giant whose earnings and share price have been battered in recent months, Cevian said Tuesday.

Cevian Capital II GP, the general partner of two Cevian funds, bought more than 46.7 million shares of the bank and said the price it paid did not reflect its market position and long-term value.
