Law360, New York (November 22, 2011, 6:59 PM EST) -- An Indiana federal judge on Tuesday approved settlements between Northern Indiana Public Service Co. and three insurers in a five-year-old insurance coverage battle over which companies should pay defense and indemnity costs in suits involving pollution from NIPSCO power plants.
U.S. District Judge Joseph Van Bokkelen approved requests by NIPSCO, Columbia Casualty Co., Continental Insurance Co., and Associated Electric and Gas Insurance Services Ltd. to resolve the matter.
