Germany Fines Reckitt €24M For Price-Fixing Scheme

Law360, New York (November 23, 2011, 6:29 PM EST) -- British consumer goods manufacturer Reckitt Benckiser Group PLC and a number of employees have been fined €24 million ($32 million) by the German competition authority for allegedly fixing dishwasher detergent prices and illegally sharing competitive information, the agency said Wednesday.

The Bundeskartellamt fined the company for two separate price-fixing schemes involving Henkel AG & Co. KGaA, Colgate Palmolive GmbH and other companies.
