Histogen Scrubs SkinMedica Skin-Care Patent Suit

Law360, New York (November 23, 2011, 7:28 PM EST) -- A California federal judge on Monday tossed infringement claims by skin care company SkinMedica Inc., ruling that regenerative medicine maker Histogen Inc.’s ReGenica products do not infringe SkinMedica's patents for anti-aging skin products.

U.S. District Judge Janis L. Sammartino granted Histogen's motion for summary judgment of noninfringement of two of SkinMedica’s patents covering skin cell growth using microbeads, according to the suit.
