Car Catalytic Converter Case Climbs Into Court

Law360, New York (July 9, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- European chemical company BASF dragged Aristo Inc. into court on Thursday, alleging the Indiana-based auto parts maker infringed on a patent relating to pipes that reduce emissions in automobiles.

The suit, filed by subsidiary BASF Catalysts LLC in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, accuses Aristo of infringing on its patent, titled “a method for coating a substrate having a plurality of channels with a coating media.”
