6th Circ. Dashes RPM's Hopes For $125M In Asbestos Cash

Law360, New York (November 29, 2011, 8:03 PM EST) -- Sealant maker RPM Inc. on Tuesday lost an appeal of a ruling that it couldn't claim $125 million in asbestos-related insurance payments, with the Sixth Circuit ruling that those payments were blocked by product hazard caps in the policies at issue.

The insurers had already paid more than $100 million to RPM and two subsidiaries, Bondex International Inc. and Republic Powdered Metals Inc., according to the Sixth Circuit opinion.
