Retailer's Insurers Try To Duck Coverage In Adobe IP Row

Law360, New York (November 30, 2011, 3:21 PM EST) -- Two insurance companies lodged a suit against Adobe Systems Inc. and software retailer in a Utah federal court Tuesday, seeking a judgment that they don’t have to cover the website’s apparent losses to Adobe in a recent copyright suit.

Hartford Casualty Insurance Co. and Twin City Fire Insurance Co. contend the commercial general liability and umbrella liability policies purchased by SoftwareMedia and its principal Adam Childer do not cover claims of alleged copyright and trademark infringement.
