7th Circ. Restores Flight Attendants' Seniority After Merger

Law360, New York (November 30, 2011, 8:32 PM EST) -- The Seventh Circuit on Wednesday reversed a lower court's ruling in favor of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters in a case alleging that Midwest Airlines flight attendants were illegally deprived of job seniority when the carrier was acquired by Republic Airways in 2009.

U.S. District Judge Rudolph T. Randa of Wisconsin federal court had granted summary judgment to the Teamsters, which represents Republic's pre-acquisition flight attendants.
