ITC Ends Duties On Steel Plate From Italy, Japan

Law360, New York (December 5, 2011, 5:38 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission determined Monday that revoking existing anti-dumping and countervailing duty orders on cut-to-length carbon steel plate from Italy and Japan would not likely injure U.S. manufacturers.

Still, the commission did find that revoking current duties on imports of the same product from India, Indonesia and South Korea would likely harm domestics steel producers. The determinations came as part of five-year sunset reviews of tariffs on imports of the carbon steel plate from the five countries.
