Bose Sues CEDIA Over Trademarks

Law360, New York (November 10, 2003, 12:00 AM EST) -- Audio equipment maker Bose Corporation has filed suit in the United States Patent and Trademark Office to cancel four trademarks registered by the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) for its mark "Electronic Lifestyles®," CEDIA said.

CEDIA began using "Electronic Lifestyles" in 1995 in connection with the association’s non-profit activities. In 1998 and 1999, CEDIA received four federal trademark registrations for "Electronic Lifestyles."
