RIM Can't Use BBX Mark At Conference: Judge

Law360, New York (December 6, 2011, 11:17 PM EST) -- A New Mexico federal judge on Tuesday issued a temporary restraining order against Research in Motion Ltd., prohibiting the BlackBerry maker from using BASIS International Ltd.'s BBX trademark at an upcoming conference in Singapore.

U.S. District Judge William P. Johnson said the software company BASIS was likely to prevail on the merits of the case and enjoined RIM from using the BBX mark at its BlackBerry Asian Developer Conference on Dec. 7-8 in Singapore.
