Madoff Investors Lose Bid To Appeal $44M Trustee Fees

Law360, New York (December 7, 2011, 5:00 PM EST) -- A group of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC's former investors have lost their latest challenge to the $44 million in compensation awarded so far to Irving Picard, the trustee liquidating the bankrupt firm, according to an order filed Wednesday.

U.S. District Judge Robert P. Patterson Jr. found that Diane and Roger Peskin and at least 80 other former Madoff clients had not presented a "controlling" legal question that they needed in their request to file an appeal in the middle of the liquidation case....
