McDonald's Fined $2M Over Brazilian Happy Meal Toys

Law360, New York (December 7, 2011, 6:07 PM EST) -- The Consumer Defense Foundation in Brazil has reportedly fined McDonald's Corp. 3.19 million reais ($1.8 million) for including toys in its signature Happy Meals, in response to a suit that claims the toys, with their appeal to children, encourage poor eating habits.
