Ratified Boeing Contract Extension Could End NLRB Suit

Law360, New York (December 8, 2011, 1:27 PM EST) -- Boeing Co.'s machinist union on Wednesday ratified a contract extension that will keep factory jobs in Washington state and likely bring to a close a National Labor Relations Board complaint against the airplane maker for moving its 787 jet production to nonunion South Carolina.

The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers voted overwhelmingly in favor of the four-year contract extension, which will keep assembly jobs in Boeing's Puget Sound-area facilities and guarantee that the company's next-generation 737 MAX aircraft is built in the state....
