Fed. Circ. Won't Reboot Memorylink IP Row With Motorola

Law360, New York (December 8, 2011, 5:27 PM EST) -- The Federal Circuit on Thursday upheld a lower court’s dismissal of Memorylink Corp.’s claim that Motorola Inc. committed legal malpractice by stealing Memorylink's intellectual property and passing it off as its own to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

The Federal Circuit affirmed the lower court’s ruling in a brief order filed without a written opinion, concluding that the decision by U.S. District Judge William J. Hibbler to dismiss the malpractice claim was based on findings that are not clearly erroneous.
