Williams & Connolly Loses Bid For SEC Docs In DC Circ.

Law360, New York (December 9, 2011, 8:19 PM EST) -- The D.C. Circuit affirmed a ruling Friday denying Williams & Connolly LLP's bid for documents it sought in connection with a client's criminal conviction on insider trading charges, saying the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission wasn't required to provide them.

The law firm had sought certain documents from the SEC's investigation of two Cendant Corp. executives that it wanted to use in its criminal defense of former Cendant CEO Walter A. Forbes.
