Cops' Whistleblower Suit Gets Green Light

Law360 (July 11, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Michigan Supreme Court gave the nod of approval Wednesday to former Detroit Deputy Police Chief Gary Brown's whistleblower suit, which says the city fired him and one of the mayor's bodyguards for taking allegations against Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick public.

The court's unanimous 7-0 decision confirmed an earlier opinion of the state Court of Appeals which also gave the whistleblower claims the go-ahead.
