House Raises Fines In New Pipeline Safety Bill

Law360, New York (December 12, 2011, 9:17 PM EST) -- The U.S. House of Representatives voted Monday to double to $2 million the maximum fines for pipeline safety violations in an effort to address safety shortcomings that have led to recent accidents, and enhance environmental protections and transportation reliability.
