House Gives Go Ahead To Drug Bill, Hurdles Remain

Law360 (July 12, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A bill that would renew drug user fees, strengthen drug safety and leave pediatric market exclusivity unchanged was overwhelmingly approved by the U.S. House of Representatives Wednesday night.

By a vote of 403-16, the House bill, HR 2900 or the Food and Drug Administration Amendments Act Of 2007, will next go to conference, where changes between it and a bill that passed the U.S. Senate earlier this year will be ironed out.
