Howrey Hires Linklater's Brussels IP Chief To Head New Group

Law360, New York (January 28, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- Howrey Simon Arnold & White, LLP has hired the head of Linklaters De Bandt’s intellectual property department in Brussels to spearhead a new IP practice group in the home town of the European Union’s executive branch.

Carl De Meyer has been charged with the task of building an IP practice group in addition to Howrey’s Brussels competition practice, the firm said. With the addition of De Mayer, the firm’s Brussels office, opened in 2002, will have 19 attorneys, two affiliated economists and several paralegals.
