Obama Names 2 Nominees To Short-Staffed NLRB

Law360, New York (December 14, 2011, 10:36 PM EST) -- President Barack Obama announced plans Wednesday to make two nominations to the National Labor Relations Board, which is facing three vacancies — enough to paralyze the agency — in 2012.

The president said he would nominate Sharon Block, deputy assistant secretary for congressional affairs at the U.S. Department of Labor, and Richard Griffin, general counsel for the International Union of Operating Engineers, to fill two seats at the NLRB.
