Judge Appoints Settlement Facilitator In Delphi Case

Law360 (July 13, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Settlement negotiations between auto parts maker Delphi Corp. and shareholders in a securities fraud case can begin in earnest now that a special master has been appointed to the case to oversee the talks.

U.S. federal judge Gerald Rosen issued an order Wednesday appointing Layn R. Phillips as the special master who will “facilitate settlement discussions” in the multidistrict litigation.
