ITC To Tackle Elpida’s Memory IP Claims Against Nanya

Law360, New York (December 16, 2011, 5:11 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission announced Friday that it will probe allegations made by Elpida Memory Inc. that industry rival Nanya Technology Corp. is importing products containing computer memory that infringe a host of Elpida patents.

The trade agency said it would conduct a Section 337 investigation in response to Tokyo-based Elpida's complaint that its Taiwanese competitor is importing dynamic random access memory that infringes Elpida's patent holdings, months after the company opened a lawsuit making similar allegations in California federal court.
