Pfizer, Others To Shell Out $6M For Superfund Cleanup

Law360, New York (December 16, 2011, 8:31 PM EST) -- Pfizer Inc., Motorola Solutions Inc. and solid waste company Republic Services Inc. agreed to pay up to $5.8 million for past and future cleanup costs of a Superfund site in Puerto Rico, according to a consent decree filed Friday in federal court.

The companies will pay $1.5 million for cleanup costs at the site in the Puerto Rico municipality of Vega Baja already incurred by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. They will also put up a $4.3 million performance bond for the completion of the cleanup...
