First Wind Snags $210M Financing for Wash. Wind Project

Law360, New York (December 19, 2011, 3:22 PM EST) -- A subsidiary of Massachusetts wind energy company First Wind Holdings LLC has secured $210 million in financing for a wind project in Washington state, the company announced Monday.

Boston-based First Wind said financing is now complete for the 105-megawatt Palouse Wind project in Whitman County, Wash. The project is expect to generate clean energy for 30,000 homes.

A First Wind spokesman said the financing closed Friday. Total value of the project, which is slated for completion in 2012, is estimated at $225 million to $250 million,...
