Mizuho Supplies $250M For Sharp Unit's Solar Projects

Law360, New York (December 19, 2011, 3:43 PM EST) -- Sharp Corp.’s solar energy business Recurrent Energy has secured an industry-leading $250 million credit facility from Mizuho Financial Group Inc.'s corporate banking arm in order to build large-scale solar plants in Ontario, the company announced Monday.

Mizuho Corporate Bank Ltd.'s four-year revolver construction facility will support Recurrent Energy’s development of 20 solar voltaic projects for Ontario’s power authority. The financing rates as one of North America’s largest nonrecourse solar financings, which means that the loan is repaid exclusively from the project’s future profits, Recurrent said....
