UK Firm Buys Barclays' $225M Infrastructure Portfolio

Law360, New York (December 20, 2011, 6:15 PM EST) -- HICL Infrastructure Co. Ltd. will pay £143.4 million ($224.6 million) to acquire investments in 26 public-private partnerships from infrastructure funds managed by Barclays PLC, the publicly traded British investment firm said Tuesday.

HICL said it would fund the acquisitions from cash resources and a revolving credit line.

All 26 projects, previously held by two Barclays Infrastructure Funds Management Ltd. funds, are operational, HICL said. Investment stakes in each project range from 25 percent to total ownership.
